		WHO KNEW WHEN WE JOURNEYED TO AMERICA ALMOST THREE DECADES AGO THAT ONE DAY OUR THATCH AND BAMBOO COMPANY WOULD BECOME RENOWNED AND REVERED IN US INTERIOR DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURAL CIRCLES FOR BEING TOTALLY UNIQUE. AT THE TIME, WE WERE SIMPLY TRAVELERS, CONTENT TO RUN OUR FAMILY BUSINESS AND WANDER THE WORLD IN SEARCH OF THE TEXTURES, COLORS, MATERIALS AND NATURAL BEAUTY NECESSARY TO CREATE AN EXOTIC ESCAPE - A DESTINATION WITHIN ITSELF - A PERSONAL OASIS. My name is Garth Wight, together with my wife Laraine we made our dream our reality. This is my journey, this is my Safari. Over the years, the things we saw, the people we met and the items we collected along the way transformed us. We couldn't help but wonder - "What if we could capture and make available the soft, tranquil and unhurried ambiance that exists in places untouched by concrete and steel, internet access and cellular phones". That was the spark behind Safari, and the ideal that has fueled our passion, expansion and growth. Our three interconnected, yet distinct divisions - Showrooms, Construction and Collections are each represented on our web site by their own unique Stamp Icons.
